The MRC is a Professional Counseling Clinic in Downtown Scranton, PA which specializes in the treatment of Couples in Conflict. All couple's are welcome, regardless of marital status, age, religion, or sexual orientation.

At the MRC we believe It's never too late to make a change. Divorce is simply a change in partners, however it rarely fixes the underlying issues which are simply brought to the next relationship.

You can learn to communicate better, to understand your partner, and to increase intimacy and marital satisfaction. Through couples counseling you can learn new skills that will facilitate a peaceful, validating environment for you, your partner and your family.

Our Philosophy:

The MRC utilizes the biopsychosocial model to information gathering. This process takes a look at all aspects of the individual and family (couple) system from the inside-out.

We believe in acceptance and non-judgment of all. The counselor's role is that of a neutral guide, not a "side taker." The most modern techniques and interventions are utilized including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottman Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Many of these interventions focus on the present, while helping the client understand the past in a new light. Our goal is to help you and your partner find:
